CLANN LOCHLAN OFFICIAL GARB SUGGESTIONS

There is no official Clann Lochlan policy about garb. The clan does not require that members dress in any particular fashion. Clan members are free to where whatever period garb that they wish, especially garb that is appropriate for their persona.
However, should a member wish to show their allegiance to the clan by wearing clan colors, here are a few suggested rules to follow. These rules are merely guidelines, and following them or not will not effect a member's status in the clan.
Clothing
Clann Lochlan colors are green and black with white or silver primary accents. The green should be of a darker variety, not too bright or intense. Secondary accents of yellow or gold are also acceptable, although officially reserved for the Chieftain. The official heraldic division of color is "per pale" green and black, but other styles are also perfectly acceptable.Belt Favors

Féni Favor

Nemed Favor
A finished edge may be applied around the favor. For anyone with a fighting authorization (heavy, rapier, archery, etc.) this border may be white. For all other gentles, the border should be black.
The border on the Chieftain's favor is golden yellow, as is that of the Lady of the Clan.
Clan members of Féni rank may display a small set of crossed white axes in the lower right-hand corner of the favor. For Nemed members, a display of crossed white axes centered on the line of division and spanning a width of approximately 4-5 inches is appropriate.
Surcoats

Style of surcoat is another indication of status within Clann Lochlan. For all gentles, the suggested surcoat is whatever
is appropriate for their persona. Ladies may choose a standard sideless surcoat. Fighters may choose whatever comfortably
fits over their armor and are encouraged to trim their surcoat in white. Tabards are also appropriate for any case.
For new members or members Féni rank below bóaire, there is no suggested coloration for a surcoat. They may wear whatever is appropriate for thier persona or whatever is part of their standard garb.
The only official clan insignia for such members is a belt favor as described above.
